When is a victory not a victory?

USA has taken Berlin! How is this not a victory?!?

UK has taken Norway. And they have a clear path to send infantry into Karelia to help USSR. And USA controls the North Atlantic.

AND... USA has TAKEN BERLIN!

Sure looks like a victory. 9 times out of 10, this just about HAS to be a victory.

But trust me, it's not...

Japan says "No!"

A wider shot reveals that the rest of USSR has fallen and Japan has an enormous buildup of forces ready to come pouring into Europe and kick USA out.

9 times out of 10 means nothing when it comes WAY TOO LATE in a game to make any difference.

What a disappointment! What a waste of a successful landing attack.
